Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Froogal Club ("the Service"), operated by Froogal Club ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Froogal Club is an AI-powered personal finance application that provides the following features:

  • AI-powered expense tracking via text input, receipt image scanning, voice recording, and manual entry
  • Dashboard analytics with charts, spending trends, and summary insights
  • AI chat functionality to ask questions about your spending habits
  • Multi-currency support for global expense tracking
  • Credit-based system for AI operations, with both free and paid tiers
  • Customizable categories and payment methods for organizing expenses

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.

3. Account Requirements

To use the Service, you must create an account. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 16 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to consent to these Terms)
  • You register using Google OAuth or a valid email address
  • You provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account
  • You will maintain only one account per person

You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

4. Free Tier

Froogal Club offers a free tier with the following limitations:

  • 10 credits provided at signup
  • Expense history limited to the most recent 30 days
  • Limited access to AI features

Additional credits beyond the initial allocation require upgrading to a Pro subscription or purchasing credit packs.

5. Pro Subscription

By subscribing to the Pro tier, you receive the following benefits:

  • 500 monthly credits that refresh at the start of each billing cycle
  • All-time expense history with no date limitations
  • Priority support

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Dodo Payments and automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the then-current subscription fee to your payment method.

6. Credit Packs

In addition to subscription credits, you may purchase one-time credit packs. The following terms apply to credit packs:

  • Credits are purchased as a one-time transaction via Dodo Payments
  • Purchased credits do not expire and remain in your account until used
  • Credits are non-refundable except as required by applicable law
  • 1 credit = 1 AI operation, where an AI operation is one text extraction, image extraction, audio extraction, or chat message

7. Payment Terms

  • All payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our authorized payment processor
  • Prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase
  • Applicable taxes may be added to the purchase price based on your jurisdiction
  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly cycle corresponding to the date of your initial subscription
  • You must maintain a valid payment method on file for the duration of your subscription

8. Refund Policy

Subscriptions

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation does not generate a refund for the current billing period. You will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing cycle.

Credit Packs

Credit packs are non-refundable once any credits from the pack have been used. Unused credit packs may be eligible for a refund within the applicable statutory period.

EU Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content within 14 days from the date of purchase, provided you have not begun downloading or using the digital content during that period. Once you use credits, the 14-day withdrawal right no longer applies.

Exceptional Circumstances

If you believe you are entitled to a refund due to exceptional circumstances, please contact our support team at support@expenseai.app. We review all requests on a case-by-case basis.

9. Cancellation

  • You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your billing settings
  • Upon cancellation, Pro features remain active until the end of your current billing period
  • After the billing period ends, your account is automatically downgraded to the Free tier
  • Your expense data is retained for 30 days after downgrade. After 30 days on the Free tier, expenses older than 30 days may no longer be accessible

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Abusing AI features, including sending spam, malicious content, or excessive requests
  • Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or scrape any part of the Service
  • Sharing your account credentials with others or allowing third parties to access your account
  • Using the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempting to manipulate, exploit, or circumvent the credit system or billing processes
  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Uploading content that contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these acceptable use policies.

11. AI Disclaimer

Froogal Club uses artificial intelligence to process and extract expense data from text, images, and audio. Please be aware of the following:

  • AI-generated expense data may not be 100% accurate and could contain errors or misinterpretations
  • You are responsible for reviewing and confirming AI-extracted expenses before they are saved to your records
  • We are not liable for any financial decisions made based on AI-misinterpreted receipts, voice recordings, or text input
  • AI-generated insights, analytics, and chat responses are provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered financial advice

12. Intellectual Property

Your Data

You retain full ownership of all expense data, receipts, audio recordings, and other content you upload or create through the Service.

Our Platform

The Service, including its original content, features, functionality, design, and underlying code, is owned by Froogal Club and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial expense tracking purposes, subject to these Terms.

13. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any loss of data. You are encouraged to export and maintain backups of any important expense data
  • We are not liable for the accuracy of AI-generated extractions, insights, or chat responses
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
  • Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim

14. Termination

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.

By You

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data and expense records will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property provisions, limitation of liability, disclaimers, and dispute resolution.

15. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Arbitration

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of [Arbitration Body]. The arbitration shall be conducted in [City, Country] and may be conducted remotely via video conference.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding against us.

16. Changes to Terms

  • We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time
  • We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any material changes take effect, via email or in-app notification
  • Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms
  • If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account
